Engineering Manager - Android Games

As the Manager, Software Engineering you will be a balance between a tech/engineering subject matter expert, technical project manager and people leader/coach as part of a mobile gaming team. Reporting directly to the Head of the Android / Cross-platform team, you will work with QA testers and engineers to meet project deadlines, ensure that our tech solutions and processes remain the best in the industry. You will also partner with our global studios and central teams to ensure excellence in our Android porting and delivery of special projects

Responsibilities:

- You will be highly technical, hands-on coder and effective people manager

- Work closely with various departments across the company, including game development teams and central technology and engineering leaders, who are responsible for many of the dependent systems required to deliver high quality games

- Ensure that the team is meeting quality requirements on time

- Hold your own in technical discussions, be a subject matter expert, and have strategic influence in processes and deliverables ....etc

Requirements:

- 5+ years professional game development experience

- 2+ years working in Unity

- Prior experience of managing a team of 4-8 engineers

- Shipped multiple lived products Lead Developer or Lead Programmer

- Knowledge of the technical pipeline and all the processes needed to make a game

- Proven ability to develop and ship high quality mobile games

- Experience with cross-platform app development with an emphasis in Android

- Excellent programming skills in a relevant language (C, C++, C#, Java)

- Experience in mobile game client development
