About the Role : Engineering Manager

We are looking for a strong hands-on engineering Engineering Leader with a solid understanding of frontend and backend architecture. You need to be an ace at app development. The ideal candidate should be highly proficient in React Native, Node.js, Dockers & Kubernetes, Kafka, with experience in leading engineering teams, setting best practices, and optimizing performance at scale.

You will be leading and managing a team of front-end and backend engineers, playing a critical role in developing and scaling our platform. While leadership is a key aspect of the role, we expect you to remain hands-on with coding.

Key Responsibilities :

Technical Leadership & Architecture :

- Own and evolve the architecture across mobile, web, and backend systems.

- Drive backend performance, reliability, and scalability.

- Lead technical design discussions and guide trade-off decisions.

- Ensure clean architecture principles, microservices scalability, and modular codebases.

App & Frontend Development :

- Oversee React Native and React.js development for scalable, cross-platform apps.

- Ensure high-quality user experience, performance, and visual fidelity.

- Implement CI/CD for frontend pipelines and enforce best practices in state management (Redux, Recoil, Zustand).

Backend & API Systems :

- Collaborate closely with backend teams using Node.js, Express, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Kafka, and Redis.

- Optimize client-server interactions via REST, GraphQL, and WebSockets.

- Support AI-based backend modules and large-scale data processing.

- Ensure privacy compliance (GDPR, CDP, DPDP) across systems.

Cloud Infrastructure & DevOps :

- Support cloud-native deployments (AWS/GCP/Azure).

- Manage containerized environments with Docker and Kubernetes.

- Optimize infrastructure performance and cost.

Team & Process Leadership :

- Mentor a team of frontend and backend engineers.

- Lead sprint planning, task allocation, and project execution.

- Conduct code reviews and enforce code quality across the stack.

AI/GenAI & Emerging Tech :

- Collaborate with AI teams to integrate GenAI-driven features.

- Deploy AI-enhanced personalization and automation at the UI and backend level.

Qualifications :

- 7-10 years of engineering experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.

- Deep expertise in backend systems and architecture.

- Strong understanding of frontend performance, accessibility, and CI/CD practices.

- Hands-on proficiency in Node.js, React Native, React.js, Next.js, TypeScript, and Kafka.

- Experience working with Docker, Kubernetes, and multi-cloud environments.

- Familiarity with REST, GraphQL, WebSockets, and scalable API design.

- Experience with data-intensive apps, vector databases, or AI pipelines is a plus.

- Passion for mentoring and building high-performance teams.
