Since 2007, client has played an instrumental role in evolution of agent banking system, using existing mom-n-pop shops, and developing mobile phones to enable existing mom-n-pop shops to become low-cost agents. Its platform has enabled many services including branchless correspondent banking for large banks like State Bank of India, ICICI Bank, IndusInd Bank and Axis Bank.
After being awarded the license to operate a semi-closed pre-paid instrument by Reserve Bank of India in the first quarter of 2015, it proposes to build scalable platform for customers to cash-in/cash-out, save, send and spend electronically.
Today it has a network of over 30,000 retail outlets and processes over Rs. 1000 crore per month

KEY METRICS FOR THE APT CANDIDATE
- Be able to integrate sourcing/ warehousing/ frontend/ analytics and big data
- Be entrepreneurial in nature and work as an effective leader who has a deep understanding of technology architecture & Technology Infrastructure
- Tech expertise in Open Source/ PHP, My SQL, Java, JS, HTML, CSS3, Cloud Platform, Integration, Big Data implementation is a must
- Evaluate and identify appropriate core lending application platform (including web application frameworks and the deployment stack) for delivering the company's services.
- Identify technology trends which are necessary for success of the business. Maintain up to date knowledge of technology standards and emerging technologies like blockchain, AI and machine learning
- Earlier experience of supporting/working in a firm during its hyper growth stage will be preferred
- Experience in architecting and developing software for scalable, distributed systems.
- Working knowledge of web application development platforms and related technologies
- Ability to execute robust project delivery plans with SWOT analysis and provide strategic advisory to top management
- Build and manage an expert technology team + external partners to oversee the platforms development, storage management, delivery network, uptime availability and maintenance.
This role entails:
- Interacting with senior management team to understand the planned goals
- Discussions with the product team to understand the projects, priorities and deliverables
- Ensuring continuous and timely execution and delivery of products and features
- Ensuring adherence to policies and defined processes
- Measuring progress and performance to report key metrics to all stakeholders
- Ensuring robust and adequate documentation
- Ensuring the management, upgradation, security of deployed Servers and applications
- Lead relationship with vendors, partners, infrastructure providers and services
In the evaluation process, we are looking for:
1. At least 12-15 years- experience of actively managing team of developers and projects
2. Experience in managing multiple functional areas. At least 5 years in Banking, product or Payment Processing Software Products is preferred
3. Expertise in Agile methodologies, JIRA, MS Project
4. Excellent communication skills with a creative bent of mind
5. Strong preference for someone with function head level exposure.
6. Formal business or management training including Project Management, Financial Management and Strategic Planning.
7. Understanding of and extensive experience with Software Engineering Concepts and Methodologies.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. 12-15 years of experience handling various facets of technology management with 3-4 years in product management is preferred
2. B.Tech(CS/IT/EC/EE) is a must.
3. Familiarity with the basics of banking / payments/ product life cycle
4. Experience in Fintech, eComm or Telecomm industry is a strong advantage.
5. Prefer experience of managing Android, Linux, Java/J2EE, Perl, Node.js, Python based enterprise application development
