Job Title: Engineer, Data Operations

Location: New York

Seeking an Engineer, Data Operations to monitor, support and automate the life cycle of our models. The successful candidate will work with portfolio managers and quantitative researchers to ensure all models and datasets are produced on time and develop automated and scalable solutions for monitoring and managing our ever growing business-critical data. This is a production support and operations role.

Responsibilities:

- Design and implement scalable monitoring applications and tools. Automate processes and work flow.

- Monitor model production and testing processes; investigate and troubleshoot issues.

- Address questions from internal consumers relating to market data, examine datasets and interact with vendors.

- Administrate market data access to internal consumers. Perform audits and track usage.

- Work with portfolio managers and quantitative researchers to optimize the model testing and production framework.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree required; degree in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering or related field preferred

- The candidate must have knowledge of computer systems, object oriented design, data structures and algorithms and familiarity with at least one major programming language (Perl, Python, Java, C++), experience with relational databases

- Excellent analytical skills and a passion for solving problems

- Be detail oriented and capable of multitasking and delivering in fast-paced work environment

- Experience working in Unix/Linux, familiar with bash scripting
