Engagement Manager - Banking Sector - Consulting Firm - Contractual

Our client, a global consulting firm, is collaborating with a major player in the banking industry to design and develop a cutting-edge digital banking platform.

The project encompasses retail, SME, and corporate banking nuances, aiming to create a comprehensive and innovative solution.

To support on this initiative, they are currently seeking an ex-MBB consultant with prior experience managing multiple banking projects.

Below summarises the responsibilities of the consultant:

- Lead the project on design and implementation of a large digital banking platform for the bank

- Communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders on project status, potential risks, etc

- Lead the day-to-day execution of a client project while guiding and developing individual team members

- Work directly with clients, usually on-site, and take ownership of the overall project and its end products

- Make an important contribution to the analysis, design and develop tailor-made solutions, implement business performance approaches, and work closely with clients to ensure positive impact and sustainable results

- Gather and analyze information, formulate and test hypotheses, and develop recommendations for presentation to client management

- Align with relevant stakeholders about any problems with the current technical solutions being implemented

- Be hands-on in developing solutions to complex problems, storylining the same, and helping the team build solutions to those

An ideal consultant would have:

- 8+ years of experience in consulting of which 5+ years in management consulting and deep exposure to digital and technology in Banking

- Master's degree/MBA (or equivalent) from top-tier management schools

- Bachelor's degree or B.Tech from top-tier engineering schools

- Efficient communication skills with the ability to align the organisation on complex decisions

- Mentoring skills to maximise the potential of the teams, embracing a culture of trust and transparency

- Motivation to learn and deliver in a complex environment requiring multiple alignment sessions

Other important information:

This is a contractual opportunity and will be on an initial 6-month contract with a high possibility of an extension. The selected consultant will be required to be based in Mumbai for the entire duration of this contract.
