Engagely.ai - Associate Director - Engineering

Job Description: Associate Director - (Software Development-Full Stack) (12-15yrs)

We are looking for a rock-star candidate to head the engineering team at Engagely.ai. This is a leadership role accountable for the successful delivery of the software and for cloud infrastructure. You will be leading a high-performing team and responsible for building and scaling our conversational AI products. You will own product development, Devops, testing, IT and data science as the head of the department. The role requires a self-starter and innovative engineering person who is tech savvy, passionate about AI and understand the business impact of conversational AI.

Skills:

- Develop and deliver a strategic technological vision and direction for Engagely.ai products

- Lead and manage the Software Development, QA, DevOps and IT teams to deliver software, infrastructure and architecture for scalable products

- Ensure delivery consistent with Agile processes across the teams

- Work effectively with Product Managers and Product Owners to ensure delivery against agreed priorities.

- Implement mechanisms to monitor, manage and provide progress on all software development activities

- Accountable for the on time and to quality delivery of software releases without impacting live clients

- Create, implement and maintain a continuous improvement plan for software development and IT infrastructure

- Reviewing and applying said best practices to establish architecture and frameworks consistent with and supportive of the Product Strategy

- Identifying and implementing technology trends that will be able to support the future success of the business

- Articulating to colleagues, Trustees and user communities, the company's technological vision, opportunities, and challenges as agreed with the leadership team

- Collaborating with the appropriate functions and users to evaluate and identify technology platforms for delivering the company's products and internal services

- Understanding the use cases (and/or user stories) in order to oversee the design of the architecture for the products to be built

- Ensuring that technology standards and best practices are maintained across the organization;

- To drive consistent standards and approaches throughout the development teams

- Understanding of Python, Angular, MongoDB stack and Azure ecosystem.

Criterion:

- Post-Graduate / Graduate in Engineering / Computer Science with an 10-15 years of experience

- Should have 3+ years experience as a technical manager in a product development environment

- Bonus points for the experience of building scalable software from the scratch
