- The role of the Enterprise Risk Manager (ERM) is to plan, design, monitor and implement risk management processes and programs for the company. This entails compliance with the ERM policy which includes risk assessment reporting to management risk committee and the board of directors, reporting on alignment with risk appetite, monitoring emerging risks and partnering with business units throughout the business ecosystem to facilitate risk mitigation plans.
Principal Responsibilities:
- To identify, evaluate and assess risks to the organization, its employees, stakeholders, assets, and operations and develop framework, tools and procedures to achieve successful risk identification and management within best practice standards in consultation with stakeholders
- To implement the risk management framework, tools and procedures
- To conduct regular assessment of controls and propose risk mitigation plan for control breaches
- To provide guidance and training to promote risk control awareness, ownership, and accountability
- To engage and develop effective working relationships to support cooperative responses to risk management matters and issues
REQUIRED SKILLS, EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Chartered Accountant/ MBA in Risk Management
- 7-8 years with a reputed consulting organization or a financial services institute in the risk management role
- Experience working in or with the financial services industry with keen understanding of business and operational environments
- Other Skills: Fraud risk management, senior governance and policy, Fraud investigation, or audit role, preferably in the Fraud risk field domain.
- Excellent oral, written and communication skills
