- We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Assistant Manager Product Strategy / Planning to join our dynamic team.
- In this role, you will play a critical part in shaping our product offerings, conducting market research, and user interviews, and ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of performance and customer satisfaction.
- This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in engineering and a passion for the automotive industry, particularly in electric vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Market Research: Conduct in-depth research into market trends, and regional nuances, particularly for electric two-wheelers and accessories.
- Customer Research: Conduct in-depth customer research to understand their needs, preferences, and pain points.
- This may involve surveys, interviews, focus groups, and data analysis.
- Competitive Analysis: Identify key competitors, and analyze their features, technical specifications, and pricing strategies.
- Leverage this information to shape competitive differentiators and strategic pricing tactics.
Reporting: Analyze customer feedback to identify trends and opportunities for product improvement and market expansion.
- Prepare clear and concise reports summarizing research findings and recommendations.
- Develop and maintain research databases and reports using tools like Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Product Strategy: Develop strategic plans that align with these insights to craft a compelling and relevant product offering.
- Feature List: Translate market needs into a detailed feature list that articulates segmentations, features, pricing targets, volume forecasts, and timelines.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as a central point for collaboration among internal teams, contractors, and vendors.
- Ensure alignment in objectives, milestones, and requirements to facilitate efficient project execution.
- Project Execution & Support: Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams (marketing, product development, etc.) to implement research-driven solutions.
- Develop and manage project timelines, ensuring deliverables are completed on time and within budget.
- Maintain a proactive and results-oriented approach to achieve project goals.
Qualifications:
Educational Background: B.E / B.Tech (in any field) + MBA.
Experience: 2+ years of experience in product strategy or product planning, preferably in the automotive industry.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities with experience in conducting market research, competitive analysis, and product testing.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Strong research skills, with experience in conducting surveys, interviews, and data analysis (using tools like Excel).
