Job Description - Our client, a greenfield E-mobility Platform, a full-stack fleet electrification solutions provider, with the aim of accelerating decarbonisation of the Indian transport sector.
We are looking to hire a capable and driven DE&I professional to manage Gender-based violence (and other forms of sexual abuse, exploitation, and harassment, or SEAH) and the related safety considerations in buses or other vehicles financed by the Platform.

Description:
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- To work closely with the senior leadership to develop and strengthen strategies, plans and activities aimed at improving social safeguards across the sector.
- Focus will also be on mainstreaming and improving outcomes in the areas of gender, road safety, disability, and environmental policies, as well as other development issues.
- Monitor compliance with requirements in e-buses regarding safety features such as emergency call button, CCTV cameras, easy access for disabled.
- Support initiatives such as increasing number of woman conductors or drivers on buses or women only buses.
- Monitor & review regulations, best practice, procedures of the counterparty and other mitigating features as part of each sub-project to limit the impacts of this risk.
- Plan & implement necessary framework.
- Consider innovations and develop proposals that might assist in advancing comprehensive responses to safeguards and gender within transport infrastructure agencies individually and in supporting sector-wide approaches.
- Work with project staff to ensure gender is appropriately integrated in all trainings.
- Strategize methods to monitor instances of gender disparities and gender-based violence (GBV)
- Document successful activities and methodologies for gender integration
- Ability to liaison well with external stakeholders across all geographies
- Strong risk analysis skills and attention to detail
- Result orientation and ability to take ownership of multiple work streams.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a small but growing team in a start-up style / dynamic environment.
- Graduation/ Post-graduation from top educational institutes in Industrial safety or environmental science/ studies.
- Previous experience in managing women's safety & compliance in any setup would be added advantage.
