The Director of Custom programs is responsible for designing and delivering customized executive education programs for Corporates. The major responsibilities include:
1. Manage the P&L of the custom program vertical
2. Lead the design and development of exec-ed programs as per client requirements
3. Coordinate with stakeholders for effective delivery and follow-up of programs
Core Responsibilities
P&L Leader: in driving the profitability of the custom program vertical
- Collaborate with the business development team in client conversations and crafting winning proposals for customized learning journeys for clients
- Liaise with faculty to recruit the most apt person for delivering the learning experience
- Lead the program coordination team in delivering a superior program experience, with an eye on cost drivers.
- Follow-up with Client, post program, to ensure the ROI of the program
Program Design: conceptualize and design a world-class exec-ed programs for our Clients.
- Thoroughly understand the learning requirements of a Client through detailed needs assessments and questionnaires; grasp the competencies to be addressed
- Incorporate varied learning pedagogies to provide a holistic learning experience
- Identify and dialogue with faculty to include the apt frameworks/cases to address client needs.
- Iterate with client on the design and conclude on the learning outcomes from the program
- Design for different learning styles and approaches, and create innovative solutions
- Design communication for participant engagement
People Management: manage multiple working relationships inside and outside the organization
- Work with BD team in engaging the client and coming up with design proposals
- Interface with senior client contacts: HR heads, CXOs in collating learning requirements and discussing the proposals
- Collaborate with faculty to ensure design and delivery are aligned
- Coordinate with the logistics/ delivery team so that classroom/virtual modules are delivered as planned
- Incorporate feedback from various stakeholders across the organization
- Update the client with regular communication through all phases of the learning journey
Implementation and Execution: be responsible for delivering the experience
- Ensure the logistics of faculty travel, accommodation, venue, licenses, learning aids are
- Timely release of content, material, assignments
- Communicate with the participants and clients on program logistics and address issues in the process
Thought Leader: in learning journey design and implementation
- Have the Knowledge of competency models and how training programs can address competency gaps
- Understand various learning frameworks and leadership instruments
- Has Experience in exec-ed program delivery and measuring RoI of training programs
Project Planning: plan, execute and deliver top quality courses within the required deadline
- Manage and ensure all aspects of program design and delivery, with the support of relevant teams
- Create and track a project plan
- Ensure top quality standards are met at every stage of the process
- Create processes to improve efficiency
The key performance indicators for this role will be:
- Success of proposals won
- Positive feedback from participants, clients and faculty
- Repeat business from a client
- Ongoing program design and improvements

Qualifications and Skills
- 10+ years of solid experience in the field of L&D Consulting and/or design and development of executive education (custom programs)
- Top skills: Talent Development frameworks, Leadership/Management Development program design, Competency framework design, Customized learning journeys, Learning program delivery
- Adept in understanding and measuring the outcomes of various learning pedagogies
- Demonstration of excellent design thinking and creativity skills
- Experience working with or in HR/L&D on leadership and organizational development.
- Excellent proposal writing, written and oral skills
- Strong people, managerial and collaboration skills
- Preferred: MBA from a reputed B-school, International experience
- Good to have: keen interest in physical fitness and an active life outside of work
