Assistant Manager /Manager - HRBP


Job Title: HRBP

Department : Human Resource

Location: Mumbai

Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Role:

- Serve as Business Partner and HR strategic consultant for the Business Leadership Team and provide key HR related inputs required for creation of business plans and budgets.

- Collaborate with COE teams during design of key HR Initiatives and policies for specific HR requirements of the business.

- Partner with Field Managers for key HR Interventions for the zones.

- Identify critical roles, conduct talent identification process and create succession plans for critical roles in the business unit, in collaboration with the department heads, in line with the guidelines of L & D CoE.

- Coaching and Mentoring line mangers to enable them to drive performance and effective team handling.

2. Operational Excellence Role:

a. Talent Management:

- Drive implementation of Talent Management and OD Interventions as defined by the relevant COEs teams for field managers.

- Ensure updation / documentation of new job positions/job creations for the business unit, in collaboration with the department Heads and TM CoE.

b. Performance Management:

- Drive implementation of performance management system and rewards system as per the process defined by COE for all employees in the business unit.

- Review and monitor creation of KRAs and KPIs for employees in alignment with the business plan in consultation with the departmental, functional and business heads, as per process and timeline defined by COE.

- Review and ensure on time completion of mid-year/annual appraisals in the business unit, as per guidelines defined by COE.

- Be responsible for driving the probation, confirmation process for all employees in the business Unit, as per guidelines.

c. Learning & Development:

- Collaborate with the L&D CoE and business managers to identify and fill skill gaps, for both technical skills and behavioural competencies (eg, training need analysis, inputs for training calendar, coverage plan, inputs for training budgets)

- Drive execution of the identified L&D programs, as per the training calendar (for eg. Nomination form functions, collaboration with L&D CoE for module preparation, training evaluation)

d. Employee Relations:

- Manage and effectively resolve employee grievances in the business, Improvement actions, counselling employees, feedback to managers and Performance improvement plans

- Ensure resolution of HR/IR issues in the business, in collaboration with the Department heads and HR Lead.

e. MIS / Dashboards

- Provide inputs to COE teams for preparing MIS and dashboards for various HR Metrics.

Job Specifications:

Educational Qualification - MBA with specialisation in Human Resource Management

Experience:

- 5 to 9 years' experience in HR preferable sales HR

- Minimum 2 years' experience of leading HR initiatives for a 300 people strong business unit in a matrix organizational environment.

Functional Competencies:

- Sound Knowledge of Human resources (HR) processes and practices (recruitment, talent management, employee engagement, performance management,)

- Excellent Knowledge of HR & IR statutes.

- Good proficiency in MS-Office

- Ability to quickly learn business know how's

Behavioral Competencies:

- Effective communication - both oral and written; excellent presentation skills.

- Ability to get along with people, possessing excellent interpersonal and networking skills.

- Analytics and Decision-Making ability

- Effective planning, prioritizing and driving completion of tasks.

- Possessing excellent Business acumen; to have good knowledge and appreciation of the Operations Unit (for example, products, customers, supply chain, competition) and its implications for HR

- Demonstrates good leadership; coaches and motivates team for superior performance; to have good coaching and counselling skills

- Driving strong adherence to systems and processes. Should be highly customer focused-Understands and responds effectively to needs of the internal customer.
