Job Purpose:
1. Lead the Contracts and Cost management function across the projects providing leadership and direction to all parties (internal and external to the organization) to achieve the Project Goals.
2. Oversee organizational Contract development and management activities, and enforce organizational principles of integrity and compliance.
3. Will serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on the development and measures related to the performance of the partners and will be the primary point of contact for all contractual issues.
4. Review Budget proposals, analyze, develop comparative analysis and put up for approval with recommendation.
5. Lead and manage the Tendering and procurement process for the selection of Contractors and suppliers leading to the shortlisting and appointment.
6. Continuous market research for new products and alternative and efficient products to suit the design.
7. Establish and implement controls and procedures for the management procurement and pre/post contract management processes, cash flow, payments, costs, and all associated commercial activities
8. Will manage a variety of contracts/subcontracts in accordance with the company policies and procedures, applicable laws, and contract requirements.
9. These contracts will be for large-scale, complex, professional services consulting engagements spread across multiple portfolio's.
10. Lead the financial and operational analysis to support short and long term strategic plans and operating budgets for the project.
11. Evaluate data, prepare forecasts, analyse trends and presents results pertaining to the project.
12. Consult with and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders regarding advanced planning, consolidation and reporting issues and solutions.
13. Lead the financial analyses process, prepare related presentations and results including compilation and review of financial plans and budgets, taking into consideration actual performance, accounts payable trends and forecasts.
14. Establish Monthly review and briefing process including establishment of early warning systems
15. Work closely with teams to propose and support negotiation of contracts, change orders, with a primary focus on ensuring timely and appropriate adjustments to contract schedule, price or other terms as circumstances dictate
16. Analyzes and assesses potential impacts associated with contractual disputes, and assists in negotiations with partners to resolve informal and formal disputes
17. Develop processes and procedures to aid in the monitoring and management of commercial terms contracts
18. Summarizes and communicates key contractual requirements and obligations
19. Assists engagement teams in organizing, managing, and documenting compliance with contract requirements
20. Develops and implements contract management tools, templates, methods and processes for individual engagements. Escalates critical contract issues to key internal constituents to ensure timely and appropriate resolution
21. Conduct contract strategy meetings to identify issues and client requirements, facilitate pricing discussions, and obtain senior management input on timelines and deliverables.
22. Conduct monthly project audits to ensure proper financial control policies and guidelines are being followed
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, MBA/CPA preferred and/or membership of a Professional Body such as the RICS.
Key Skills, Experience and Background:
- 18+ years of Experience in reputed large development or consulting organization. Minimum 5 years with leadership role
- Highly analytical, with strong technical and functional knowledge.
- Excellent communication and Negotiation skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
- Experience with integrated financial systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) programs. Very strong Excel charting and graphics skill set.
- Knowledge of accounting systems and controls.
- Should have strong Commercial Management knowledge and analytical skills along with proven ability in budgeting/forecasting and financial analysis.
