- The candidate's role requires an in depth understanding of government procurement processes and a proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets in the government sector along with strong communication and negotiation skills and be adept at building and maintaining relationships with government clients.

Responsibilities:

Sales Strategy and Planning:

- Develop and implement sales strategies to target government agencies.

- Identify and prioritize opportunities for selling IT products and services to federal, state, and local government entities.

- Maintain an in-depth understanding of government procurement processes and regulations.

Demand Generation and Qualification:

- Utilize diverse channels and events to generate high-quality leads.

- Conduct thorough qualification of leads to ensure alignment with business objectives and revenue goals leading the full sales conversation and negotiation.

Market Analysis and Intelligence:

- Monitor market trends and competitor activities in the government sector.

- Gather and analyze data on customer needs and preferences.

- Provide actionable insights and recommendations to improve sales approaches and product offerings.

Client Acquisition and Relationship Management:

- Identify and engage with key decision-makers within government agencies.

- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with government clients.

- Conduct presentations, product demos, and negotiations to secure contracts.

Sales Execution:

- Meet or exceed sales targets and quotas.

- Prepare and submit proposals, bids, RFPs, RFQs and tender responses.

- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the delivery of high quality products and services

Who You Are?

- 15-20 years of experience in IT sales, preferably in a B2G sector.

- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a government sales role.

- Experience with government procurement cycles, RFPs, RFQs, and contract management.

- Familiarity with government compliance and regulatory requirements.

- Strong network of contacts and established relationships within government.

- Entrepreneurial spirit with a proactive approach to problem-solving and innovation.

- Data-driven - can slice and dice data to generate insights and propose solutions.

- Strategic thinking with a focus on achieving measurable outcomes.

- Strong business acumen and the ability to identify and capitalize on market opportunities.
