Responsibilities:
- This role is responsible for building, developing and managing company product function to the highest quality standards.
- Build on the idea of full lifecycle of the product to include marketing and promotion.
- Need to run multiple projects at a time across various lines of business.
- Drive product mission, strategy, and roadmap with strong emphasis on Lean methodologies.
- Own the end-to-end processes related to product discovery, including identifying problems and opportunities, rapidly validating our assumptions, and defining the solutions that we deliver to our customers.
- Would assemble, nurture and lead high performing teams who have been working on the Existing/New Products, Launch and finally large-scale development and operational deployment.
- The product director will embed and continuously drive lean start-up and agile product development methods to application development, with high market engagement throughout development and fortnightly sprints, and build a culture of continuous learning and improvement to ensure the team remains at the top of its game.
- Work closely with the head of engineering to ensure efficient implementation of product improvements and facilitate engineering involvement in product discovery.
- Collaborate and work cross-functionally with the marketing, retail, sales, operations, finance and customer services teams and address stakeholder concerns
- This role is responsible for leading cross-functional teams (developers, UX and product managers) to develop and innovate the platform, working closely across all business functions and in response to changing user and market demand.
- Provide a high degree of expertise and experience in lean start-up approaches to product development, including Design Thinking, Agile Development, Lean UX, and use this knowledge to lead product development efforts.
- Build strong organizational partnerships with senior leaders of Marketing, Business Development and Operations to develop new products.
- Propose, secure, and effectively manage budgets to support product development.
- Develop and maintain a business continuity plan, product security plan and other related processes as it evolves and scales.
Requirements:
- 12+ years experience in product management, preferably in advertising & media
- 5+ years of US Consumer & Business Experience is Mandatory
- Deep understanding of digital and online products for US consumers and business.
- Extensive experience with and strong proponent of Lean methodologies.
- Proven track record of success in developing and delivering consumer product with a high quality user experience.
- Passion for leading, mentoring and scaling product teams to reach their full potential.
- Experience defining end-to-end product mission, strategy and roadmap.
- Analytical in nature, ability to quickly absorb and analyze unfamiliar information to make decisions that are supported by sound evidence.
- Evangelist of the lean approach, capable of finding creative ways to quickly validate assumptions underlying both problems and solutions.
- Primary exposure from B2C and e-commerce domain
- BS/MS in Computer Science, MCA, MBA, or a similar relevant field
