Ekya Schools will launch a new chain of K-12 schools known as the "Purpose Based Schools" for the next academic year, 2025-2026. These Purpose-based schools are thematic schools that allow students to specialize in an area of interest from a young age.

Role Purpose:

- At Ekya, we are dedicated to providing top-tier educational services that empower schools to achieve their goals. Our offerings range from recruitment services and professional development to curriculum building, all tailored to meet the unique needs of our partners.

- We are seeking a dynamic and driven Business Development Manager to join our team. This role is pivotal in expanding our network of partner schools and promoting our suite of service offerings. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in building and maintaining relationships, with a strong understanding of the educational sector.

Roles & Responsibilities:

The Business Development Manager will leverage existing networks and actively seek out new opportunities to drive business growth by:

Developing Partnerships:

- Identifying and cultivating relationships with schools and educational institutions to promote our services.

- Leveraging existing networks and connections to build new partnerships.

- Customizing offerings to meet the specific needs of partner schools, ensuring mutual benefit and satisfaction.

Driving Sales & Business Growth:

- Developing and executing strategies to achieve sales targets for recruitment services, professional development programs, and curriculum building.

- Conducting market research to identify potential clients and opportunities for growth.

- Preparing and delivering presentations, proposals, and pitches to prospective clients.

Expanding Networks & Conducting Research:

- Attending industry events, conferences, and meetings to build a network of contacts within the educational sector.

- Researching and mapping out potential clients and market trends to stay ahead of the competition.

- Scheduling and conducting in-person visits to schools to build rapport and understand their needs.

Collaborating & Reporting:

- Working closely with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery of services to partner schools.

- Providing regular updates and reports on sales activities, progress towards targets, and market insights to senior management.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Business, Education, or a related field.

- 2-5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role, preferably within the education sector is a must.

- Strong networking abilities with a proven track record of building successful partnerships.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to travel for in-person meetings and events as required.

- Strong negotiation and closing skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
