Business Analyst
Job description:
Responsibilities: As with any rapidly evolving organization, the Business Analyst has cross-functional responsibilities across customer success, product management, and business development.
Customer Success and Support:
- Understand and support the customer requirements across the entire workflow, from bringing data to the platform to getting accurate results
- Automate key customer processes to enable seamless adoption and integration of our product in their workflow
- Perform data review, cleansing/scrubbing, augmenting, validating, preparing catastrophe model exposure data for catastrophe risk analysis.
- Create usage dashboards to provide analytics around product usage
- Triage and manage customer/user support issues keeping all stakeholders apprised of status.
Product Management:
- Understand the product and contribute to testing and business documentation
- Guide enhancement of the platform by identifying the underlying issues and opportunities driving pat-terns of customer use and inquiry
- Support creation of product requirements and work with developers if required
- Support product marketing in release announcements and campaigns
Business Development:
- Support sales teams in developing solutions around specific customer challenges
- Create proof of concepts around data and needs of new customers
- Providing complete and accurate analyses results for the successful completion of comprehensive client requirements
Requirements:
About You:
- You have a Graduate or Post-Graduate degree in mathematics, engineering, computer science or equivalent quantitative training
- You're a reliable, committed, hands on and curious individual, with experience in the field of Nat Cat modelling
- You have good interpersonal skills, self-driven and ability to work within a globally distributed team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Must Have:
- Knowledge of (re)insurance and catastrophe modeling concept is necessary for this role
- Minimum one year of experience working with at least one on catastrophe model ecosystem (RMS, Verisk/AIR)
- Familiarity with the end-to-end P&C risk modeling workflow - data, financials, analysis, and reporting
- Experience of SQL programming on cat modeling databases
Added Advantages:
- Solid Programming skills in MS SQL,VBA, Python, R is a plus for this role
- Successfully prototyped or developed Business Intelligence, reporting and data analysis solutions, ideally in PowerBI
