EHS Lead - R&D Centre

Looking to hire an EHS Leader for a leading MNC R&D Centre.

Job Profile :

- Implement a robust EHS Management System / Process / Procedure at R&D Level

- Need to be specialist and Electrical safety , by qualification and Competency to handle HV systems

- Be sensible leader for Environmental Health and safety and lead the cluster

- Mentor the EHS team for Successful H&S and E implementations

- Be a pillar leader for Health and Safety assurance program implement across the site

- Environment Health and Safety Assessment Knowledge and Execution capabilities is must

- Coordinate and ensure EHS Induction training to new comers to the plant including staff and contractors' workers so that they are acquainted with safety requirements, safe work practices and procedures.

- Work Closely with the site teams on covid tracking , preventive actions and Mitigation of Risk with Covid Appropriate behavior compliance

- Identify hazards and prepare control measures to reduce / eliminate risk.

- Prevent and correct safety and health issues through Occupational Risk Assessment

- Facilitate Plant EHS Inspections & Audits

- Good knowledge on digital tools and hands on experience

- Prepare & Cascade Trainings on different EHS topics

- Assist in facilitating and / or conducting accident/incident investigations

- Verify and update all required EHS postings, warnings and signs applicable to the plant operations and standardize all EHS PPE/Practices across the site

- Ensure availability of certified First-Aiders at the Site

- Coordinate Mock-Drills and Preparation of Emergency Response Plans

- Verify that emergency numbers, including physicians and hospital locations, are valid and displayed at prominent locations inside the Site

- Support and Advise Site Manager on the hazardous conditions /concerns or near-miss incidents and in identifying the PPE requirements for the Site operations

- Vendor identification & qualification in terms of product quality for the purchase of PPE

- Work on all continuous improvement tasks like SPS, VSM, Kaizen, efficiency, six sigma

- MR for the Management systems (ISO14001, 45001 , 50001 etc.)

- Collect and report safety performance data and statistics, Prepare EHS performance reports, and other EHS reports as required by Management. Ensure adequate EHS Documentation at the Site

Knowledge

Law and Government - Knowledge of laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, government regulations, executive orders, agency rules, and the democratic political process relating to EHS

Public Safety and Security - Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, or national security operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions

Qualifications

- Bachelor Degree or above in Engineering / Fire & Safety background

- Recognized Safety Qualification such as M.Tech.(Industrial Safety) or Diploma in Industrial Safety (RLI) is a must

- Minimum 10 -12 years working experience in Safety / EHS area in a manufacturing company (preferably Electrical background)

- Able to communicate well in English, Kannada and Hindi

- Be familiar with national and international EHS standards and regulations
