About the Role:

- The project manager is responsible for eGov Health Mission projects from initiation to close, making sure the work gets done efficiently and satisfactorily.

- This position will be based in Bangalore and with periodic travel to partner locations in India and Africa.

- The position will be reporting to the Associate Program Director.

About the Health Mission:

The health mission at eGov aims to expand capabilities in public health. Our primary focus is to help countries reduce "diseases of poverty.


" The World Health Organization (WHO) estimates that such diseases "account for 45% of the disease burden in the poorest countries" and stem from poor nutrition and sanitation, absence of health education, and indoor air pollution.

We want to help countries reduce this by creating a platform for disease surveillance, and building digital tools to enable and manage large scale public health campaigns.

Key Responsibilities:

- S(he) will be responsible to work with internal stakeholders and external partners on planning and managing DIGIT HCM rollout for health campaigns.

- This includes supporting eGov onsite Program Managers in setting and managing partner expectations, developing a detailed project plan, defining the scope of the project, understanding project risks and assigning team members to specific tasks.

Specifically, s(he) will be responsible for:

1. Project Management:

a. Identifying project goals, needs, and scope

b. Planning, monitoring, and documenting tasks throughout a project

c. Ensuring all tasks, deliverables, and project materials are delivered promptly

d. Managing all resources necessary for project execution

e. Fostering effective communication with stakeholders concerning project status, maintain relationships and communications with the onsite Program team(s) from eGov, and partner organizations.

f. Foreseeing and strategically eliminating blockers and potential risks

g. Documenting each step of the process using various project management tools

h. Ensuring top-quality results and success for a project

i. Ensure that a cadence of meetings and interactions are maintained between eGov and major stakeholders of the program.

2. Product Solutioning:

a. Understand the functions of all the modules that DIGIT HCM has to offer to countries and partners.

b. Understanding the key challenges of the end-user through primary and secondary research and assisting the partners in building solution strategies is desirable.

3. Documentation:

a. Prepare presentations, progress/ status reports, other artifacts as and when required.

b. Create plan documents for various stages of the project

c. Create analysis reports (in terms of performance) for the projects implemented

Skills Requirements:

1. 7 to 10 years with 3+ years' experience managing ERP/CRM/egovernance project implementations with expertise in Project Management Methodologies. Prior experience in technology driven projects and PMP certification will be preferred.


2. Ability to work with people from different cultural backgrounds is critical in this role. A degree in engineering or related field(s) required; post-graduate degree in management, public policy, rural/urban management, engineering or related field(s) will be preferred.

3. Detail-oriented in program planning & execution including scope & requirements management, collaboration with partners, communications plans, & risk management etc.

4. Excellent writing and presentation skills (ability to communicate complex ideas in a meaningful way).

5. Excellent relationship and expectation management skills.

6. Strong interpersonal skills and comfortable leading without authority.

7. Rigorous project monitoring, reporting & escalation to stakeholders.

8. Keenness and/or experience of working with the government is desirable. Prior exposure to the public sector, development sector, digital health or consulting is desirable.

9. Ability to handle large scale programs and handle multiple stakeholders simultaneously.

10. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills


11. Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, excel, Microsoft Project Plan).

12. Working knowledge of JIRA is an added advantage
