Position: Lead - Supply Chain

Location: Gurugram

The Opportunity:

Eggs are nature's perfect nutrition and can solve for India's nutrition problem. However, out of the 40 Crore eggs consumed daily in India, more than 97% are sold in loose and unpackaged format. Indian egg industry is largely unorganized at the backend as well as the frontend.

A typical egg in India which takes 8-10 days to reach a retail counter is not fresh and has lost it's nutritional value (by more than 50% as per research). With non-fresh eggs, there is a funny egg smell and runny texture of yolk and albumen, which is very common with Indian eggs.

Farmers make thin margins and are dependent on unorganized trader and wholesalers. Due to low incomes and lack of knowledge, there is heavy usage of anti-biotics and chemicals in poultry feed that causes long-term health issues.

The Company: Eggoz - Nupa Technologies Pvt Ltd.

Founded in 2017, Eggoz is a Series B-funded growth-stage egg brand and Agritech start up, funded by IvyCap, NabVentures, Avaana Capital, Rebright Partners and Others. The founders Abhishek Negi, Aditya Singh and Uttam Kumar are alumni of IIT - Kharagpur. Eggoz is building a brand of eggs in a $12 Billion egg consumption market which is growing at rapidly at 15% annually. With growing demand for hygienic and branded foods, Eggoz is striving to build the largest branded egg company and organize the egg sector.

Eggoz aims to be the 'Amul for Eggs'. It aims to deliver superior nutrition with sustainable farming, aim at better income for farmers and strive for 24-hour freshness 'chicken to plate', thereby wholistically attempting to solve the current challenges in the industry.

The business model is asset-light and tech-first where farmers are onboarded to an integrated platform, which includes poultry feed & nutrition integration using only herbal ingredients, and bird management technology to improve farmer income.

Its products are available in omni-channel retail in 5 major metro cities and nearby non-metro towns. In the next phase, Eggoz aspires to become a household brand. It is looking to scale the brand and platform to rest of the country and build the largest national brand of eggs. It aims to build excitement around eggs and build the entire category of eggs and egg-based products.

The Role:


- The egg industry is highly competitive and Eggoz endeavours to disrupt the industry.


- It is looking for a strategic Supply Chain Lead to anchor the function, to optimise Supply Chain performance, onboard best practices and partner Customer Success to help achieve Eggoz's business goals. He / She will need to be a self-starter, a team player, and someone who is through and through a people person.

Key Responsibilities:

- As a SPOC for Supply Chain, be responsible for strategic & financial planning and execution of all supply chain activities - end to end

- Lead preparation of annual budget, monitoring of expenses including CAPEX & Infrastructure and inventory budgets, variance reconciliation, and implement cost improvement initiatives

- Collaborate and draw up SOP planning including Demand planning and Supply Planning Distribution

- Responsible for all aspects of capacity planning, inventory planning and management at respective Egg Processing Centres from receiving to final disposition of products and materials

- Set Customer Service Level (OTIF) for the Team and assure achievement of the agreed targets.

- Develop logistics and planning solution encompassing Farm to Fork network design

- Derive KPIs for self and team from the Organisation OKRs to achieve Organisational deliverables

- Optimise operational management of warehouse and transportation, implement Logistics strategy thereby ensure seamless logistics operations in all nodes of distribution

- Envisage the journey to transform into a digital supply chain (including ERP implementation)

What We're Looking For?

- B.Tech / MBA in Operations Management with 7-9 years of Logistics/Supply Chain experience in a start-up / FMCG Organisation / Logistics Organisation

- Experience and knowledge of latest trends and trends in inventory planning and management, forecasting, warehouse network, Supplier Performance Monitoring, transportation operations, SOP, Compliances and information techniques necessary for the effective monitoring of Supply Chain functions

- In depth knowledge of end-to-end supply chain processes related best practices

- Can think strategically and deliver operationally within deadlines in a fast-paced environment

- Effective interpersonal, collaborative, critical thinking, team management and problem-solving skills

- Can communicate within a geographically dispersed organisation

- Create open communication culture in team and encourage a good team culture
