The Opportunity:


Eggs are natures perfect nutrition and can solve for Indias nutrition problem. However, out of 40 Crore eggs consumed daily in India, more than 97% are sold in loose and unpackaged format. Indian egg industry is largely unorganized at the backend as well as the frontend. A typical egg in India takes 8-10 days to reach a retail counter by the time it is not fresh and has lost nutrition values (by more than 50% as per research). With non-fresh eggs, there is a funny egg smell and runny texture of yolk and albumen, which is very common with Indian eggs. Farmers make thin margins and are dependent on unorganized trader and wholesalers. Due to low incomes and lack of knowledge, there is heavy usage of anti-biotics and chemicals in poultry feed that causes long-term health issues.


The Company: Eggoz - Nupa Technologies Pvt Ltd.


Founded in 2017, Eggoz is a Series A funded growth-stage egg brand and Agritech start up, funded by NabVentures, Avaana Capital, Rebright Partners and Others. The founders Abhishek Negi, Uttam Kumar, Aditya Singh are alumni of IIT Kharagpur.


Eggoz is building a brand of eggs in a $12 Billion egg consumption market which is growing at rapidly at 15% annually. With growing demand for hygienic and branded foods, Eggoz is striving to build the largest branded egg company and organize the egg sector. Eggoz aims to be the Amul for Eggs. It aims to deliver superior nutrition with sustainable farming, aim at better income for farmers and strive for 24-hour freshness chicken to plate, thereby wholistically attempting to solve the current challenges in the industry.


The business model is asset-light and tech-first where farmers are onboarded to an integrated platform, which includes poultry feed & nutrition integration using only herbal ingredients, and bird management technology to improve farmer income.


Eggoz is leading and fastest growing brand of eggs. Its products are available in omni- channel retail in 5 major metro cities and nearby non-metro towns. In the next phase, Eggoz aspires to become a household brand. It is looking to scale the brand and platform to rest of the country and build the largest national brand of eggs. It. It aims to build excitement around eggs and build the entire category of eggs and egg-based products.


The Role: As Eggoz is disrupting the egg industry and building the egg supply chain for scale from ground up, Eggoz is looking for a strategic Supply Chain Lead to anchor the supply chain function to optimise Supply Chain performance and deliver on higher order customer satisfaction in support of Eggozs business goals. He / She will need to be a self- starter, a team player, and someone who is through and through a people person.


Key Responsibilities :


- Prepare the Modern Trade sales strategy & growth plans for Eggoz in line with business strategy

Deliver Volume, Value Business & Profitability to deliver on the Revenue and Share parameters and drive visibility in Modern Trade


- Develop sound professional work relations with key accounts team at various level, function (Category, Buying, Operation and Commercial) and location


- Ensure review of business with the Founder Team on sales trends, Market developments and competition as also review the Sales Team and work towards achievement of Budgeted Top-line and Profit Targets


- Implement and monitor on a regular interval basis TOT with all Key Account


- Customers to drive effective and sustainable growth


- Initiate Joint Business Planning with Key Account Customers on growth and initiatives to be driven in the chains


- Manage Accounts receivables, debt collection and resolve long outstanding debts


- Drive operational efficiency for modern trade channel


- Align, execute trade marketing and trade promotions interventions, pre & post sales tracking & analysis of promotions effectiveness with the modern trade sales strategy and overall business strategy.


- Work within allocated promotional cost and ensure effective spending in driving sales and brand building.


- Plan and negotiate for in-store activations, merchandising, sell-out plans with the accounts


- Resolve customer's trade issues, complaints and operational matters


Were Looking For :


- Experience in an FMCG Company in the Sales function at a Regional / National level


- Good grasp of distribution and logistics management


- Good understanding of Marketing and Brand plans implementation


- Networking skills and strong orientation towards customer management


- Ability to handle pressure in a dynamic environment


- Sharp negotiation and influencing skills


- Willing to work 6 days a week
