We face a major challenge that we would like to talk about. We started EduMentor as BBA Test Prep institute 6 years back. EduMentor prepares for undergraduate entrance exams like BBA/ LAW/ BMS.

In the last 6 years however I have watched Aptitude Preparation becoming a torture.

- Too many formulas, too little logic.

- Mathematics being taught like GK.

- 1000's of students dropping out of preparation in less than 1 month.

- Look around you, How many commerce students are studying at top B-Schools like IIM A, B, C- When was the last time a commerce student topped CAT-

- Aptitude preparation used to be fun. Now however all these coaching institutes sell magical formulas that try to replace common sense.This situation needs to change. These students need to be saved. With all my hope I am writing to you. We are looking for great people to contribute as

Faculty / Trainer:

- People who can teach aptitude subjects through common sense. Allow students to explore concepts with their own curiosity.

Subjects:

- Quantitative Aptitude & Logical Reasoning

- Verbal Ability

- General Awareness

Zonal Leaders / Mentors:

The Vision has to be taken outside the classroom as well. A Zonal Leader would implement our plan through a team of center managers. Establish process and system to ensure that student put in the right practice in the right manner. The role will also be very hands on in terms of motivating and mentoring the student on one to one or group basis.

Duration: March- May 2015 (2 to 3 months project)

The project is suitable for people who are

a) B-School Alumni who are free on weekends.

b) Aspirants of Civil Services/ MBA

c) Working professionals on a career break.

And for all those people who don- t fit into any category but would like to bring a change in the classical approach to aptitude development. We would need your help. Please also help us spread the word in your network.
