Assessments team is involved in making engaging and insightful assessments tools that test the level of understanding of the language of children. We are looking for passionate individuals who would love to go deeper into how children learn Maths and Science and build high quality assessments that can uncover gaps in the learning.

The role of an Educational Specialist - Assessments can be broadly divided into three components, namely creation, review and research. Key responsibilities will involve -

1. Creating engaging content for the assessment products, ASSET and Detailed Assessment, which includes -

Sourcing suitable engrossing passages for reading and comprehension

Creative ways of assessing comprehension, grammar and vocabulary

2. Reviewing content, focusing on -

Quality of the question (concept tested, grade appropriateness, phrasing)

Technical correctness

Strength of the distractors

Syntactical/semantic errors

3. Researching on language acquisition/teaching methodologies -

Through reading of academic journals

Analysing data on questions

By interacting with external subject experts

By interacting with students and understanding how they think

Required Skills:

0-3 years of experience in content creation/teaching role

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Ability to create and source engaging assessments for students

Ability to critically analyse questions, tests, and projects for practical use in the context of the classroom

Basic technological awareness (Windows functions, MS Office, email features)

Sticking to tight schedules and effective workload management

Preferred Skills:

Subject background in Maths/Science, at a Masters- level or above

Ability to interact in a productive manner with teachers and students, if needed; this should be geared towards gleaning information that will help us improve our understanding of how students learn and also towards improving our offerings

Should enjoy working in a team and across teams

Should enjoy healthy debates and arguments which are critical for insight development
