Mindspark English is an upcoming language learning product for schools. We- re looking to expand our core team with passionate individuals who love exploring the possibilities of technology and language simultaneously, and have the grit to see their ideas through to execution.

The role of an Educational Specialist for Mindspark English can be divided into four components, namely creation, review, coordination and research. Explaining in greater detail -

1. Creating engaging content for Mindspark English, which includes-

Engrossing passages for reading and listening

Questions that - test and teach- comprehension, grammar and vocabulary

Games and interactives that focus on language concepts in a pedagogically sound but convivial manner

2. Reviewing content created for Mindspark English, focusing on

Quality of the question (concept tested, grade appropriateness, phrasing)

Strength of the distractors

Syntactical/semantic errors

3. Coordination and collaboration -

With IT members on developing features for Mindspark and resolving issues

With freelancers on content development targets

With schools to gain insights on product enhancements

With other Educational Specialists for improving Mindspark English

4. Researching on language acquisition/teaching methodologies -

Through reading of academic journals

Analysing data on questions

By interacting with external subject experts

By interacting with students and understanding how they think

Required Skills:

Excellent proofreading

Bachelor's degree in linguistics/literature or related fields

Some experience in language learning/teaching (preferably ESL)

Ability to create and source engaging content for students

Ability to critically analyse questions, assessments and various types of learning modules

Basic technological awareness (Windows functions, MS Office, email features)

Sticking to tight schedules and effective workload management

Preferred Skills:

Subject background in language learning, at a Masters- level or above

Ability to interact effectively with experts/teachers and source required professionals

Knowledge of MySQL and basic programming logic

Experience in team leadership/collaboration
