Educational Initiatives - Senior Educational Specialist

Salary Offered : 6 - 10 LPA

The Sr. Education Specialist role will work at the intersection of pedagogical research and technology to enable children of all communities to learn subjects (English/Math/Science/Social Studies/Hindi) efficiently.

What are you expected to do :

Create engaging content by :

- Understanding the science of learning by reading pedagogy related research work, analyzing the company's rich student response data, conducting student interviews and interacting with teachers to figure out how children think and learn.

- Using this research to build conceptual questions to - test and teach- understanding of subjects.

- Designing balanced assessments to bring out prevalent learning misconceptions based on data and insights and thinking of creative ways of reducing the same.

Reviewing content, focusing on :

- Quality of the question (concept tested, grade appropriateness)

- Strength of the distractors - Technical correctness

Coordination and collaboration :

- With IT members on developing product features and resolving issues

- With freelancers on content development targets

- With schools to gain insights on product enhancements

- With other Educational Specialists for improving our products

Research on subject specific concepts/teaching methodologies

- Through reading of academic journals

- By interacting with external subject experts

- By interacting with students and understanding how they think

What's a must :

- Ability to create and source engaging content for students - Ability to critically analyze questions, tests, and projects for practical use in the context of the classroom, Sticking to tight schedules and effective workload management, Should enjoy working in a team and across teams, Should enjoy healthy debates and arguments which are critical for insight development

Some preferred skills/interests specific to different teams at EI :

- Ability to quickly and independently learn technologies like HTML5 and SQL Create interactive content like Games and Enrichment modules, etc. to help children them learn with understanding. Taking up special assignments such as coding for partial solving, thinking of system architecture and improving the speed of the software by increasing efficiency through sophisticated algorithms, Readiness to travel in the areas where you see the raw rural landscapes and remotely placed schools!
