Educational Initiatives - Program Manager - Assessment Capacity Building

EI has been working with Tamil Nadu state on various assessments projects for more than a decade. In the past 3 years, both the state and EI have focused on increasing the systemic capacities to understand, create and analyse assessments with certain rigour.

The position of Project Manager will lead and support State's Assessment Cell on day-to-day basis for their assessment and planning needs and to effectively communicate and work with the senior leaderships of the State, EI and other partner organizations.

EI promotes leadership and managerial skills at each level. The Project Manager will mainly have the following tasks. S(he) will:

- work from the Tamil Nadu Assessment Cell office in Chennai for 6 days a week

- handhold and support the staff of Tamil Nadu Assessment Cell in building their capacities through assessment roadmap, planning and analysis inputs

- plan, support, ideate, suggest and execute assessment strategies and plans for TN state

- represent Educational Initiatives in various stakeholder meetings, contribute actively and will keep different partner organizations informed

- travel for the project needs and document appropriately

- write reports, analyse data and will liaison with other funding agencies in the region

Skillset:

Must have:

- Candidates having communicative fluency in Tamil and English

- Candidates with experience of having worked with a Government set up

- Candidates with great aptitude, empathy, communication skills, logical and analytical thinking and decision-making capacity

- Candidates with physical and mental agility to travel for the project needs

Education:

- We believe more in education and less in degrees! You can be from any discipline, but as far as you are able to contribute to the larger mission of EI, you are welcome to apply

Experience:

- Candidates with education management, project management or programme management experience
