Edfora - Data Scientist

Role Overview:

We are looking for a Data Scientist who will help us increase the innovative coefficient of our organization, discover the information hidden in vast amounts of data, and help us make smarter decisions to deliver even better products.

Your primary focus will be in applying data mining/AI/ML techniques, doing statistical analysis, and building high-quality prediction/suggestion systems integrated with our products.

Responsibilities:

- Selecting features, building and optimizing classifiers using machine learning techniques

- Data mining using state-of-the-art methods

- Get your hands dirty and work as an individual contributor to create products on upcoming new technologies like Chatbots, AI, Blockchain etc.

- Enhancing data collection procedures to include information that is relevant for building analytic systems

- Processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis

- Doing ad-hoc analysis and presenting results in a clear manner

- Creating automated anomaly detection systems and constant tracking of its performance

- Research and develop statistical learning models for data analysis

- Collaborate with product management and engineering departments to understand company needs and devise possible solutions

- Keep up-to-date with latest technology trends

- Communicate results and ideas to key decision makers

- Create meaningful data visualizations that communicate your findings and relate them back to how your insights create business impact.

Requirement:

- BE/B.Tech in Computer Science from a top engineering school.

- 2-5 years of professional software development experience.

- Prior experience in building NLP and machine learning based systems.

- Strong coding skills. Professional experience in developing production-quality software on Mean stack.

- Strong mathematics, statistics, and data analytics.

- Extremely good at Product and Business Knowledge. Should be able to suggest what to implement in order to make an organization look technologically advanced and vibrant.

- Past experience of single-handedly rolling out an impactful product will be a plus.

- Should be doing all by himself - conceptualize product/feature/enhancement, writing architecture, data visualizations and statistical models including algorithms, coding etc. Help for UX/UI and QA will be provided.

- Solid understanding of web technologies; HTTP, REST, OAuth, and asynchronous programming.

- Expertise in Relational Databases, NoSQL, Distributed systems, Big data workflows.

- Experience with building low-latency, high availability, internet-scale RESTful web services.

- Experience with AWS or similar cloud computing environments.

- Strong in problem-solving, object-oriented design, data structures, algorithms and other computer science fundamentals

- Experience with techniques of performance optimization for both data loading and data retrieval.

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
