Edelweiss - National Credit Manager

Responsible for ensuring the smooth and institutionalized flow of the Mortgage proposals at all the Branches. He is also responsible for continuous improvement in credit approval process to meet the dynamic business needs, co-ordination with business teams and other agencies to improve upon TATs and instituting mechanisms for complete safety of financed amount and timely regularization of margin shortfall.

- Portfolio Quality (P&L Impact)

- Manage underwriting of Mid Ticket Home Loans, Loan Against Property and Affordable Housing for Co-Lending and Sole Lending products

- Ensure quality of new originations are controlled basis the defined portfolio triggers.

- Monitor post disbursement documentation and early delinquencies

- Actively partner with business heads and structure/arrive at customized solutions,

- Control of underwriting processes for optimum and cost efficient delivery

- TAT / Process improvement /Cost control

- Formulate processes for TAT improvement, process efficiency & cost control. Maintaining the desired SLAs for the underwriting function.

- Ongoing review of the existing processes, benchmark against industry peers with inputs from Risk and business

- Formulate strategies for continuous improvements of processes

- Maximize digitization and automation in underwriting processes

- Regulatory / compliances (Regulators and auditors)

- Interface with the regulatory inspection teams and auditors

- Maintain Data sanctity for reporting

- Timely resolution and closure of queries if any

- Regular monitoring and Communication of Market updates

- Train & Guide the team on various policy documents, market updates and changes in the organization strategy to achieve the desired end result.

- Control mechanism to ensure the various changes rolled out are implemented in the processes

- People Management

- Effectively lead a team and ensure right resources for the right role

- Leading, mentoring monitoring the performance of the team members to ensure efficiency in process and operations basis KPI parameters

- Timely feedback to the teams to ensure efficiency is maintained.

- Ensuring there is collaboration within internal stakeholders

Functional Competencies:

- Good understanding of Accounting Standards, Balance Sheet Analysis, GST Analysis etc.

- In-depth knowledge of Financial Credit Risk analysis, Risk (credit / investment, operational, others) identification and mitigation skills.

- Knowledge and experience of having dealt in Lending products.

- Ability to understand economic / industry cycles.

- Process redesign and process control skills

- Analysis of annual reports and cash flow statements
