ED - Platform Lead - Mobile Application/Microservices - Financial Services

- We are looking for a person who has deep expertise in developing mobile and web solutions using microservices and distributed computing principles. The candidate should be well-versed with modern computing paradigms such as cloud native, data and APIs.

- Demonstrated track record of being responsible for ensuring product success through strategic use of technologies such as Linux OS, private/public cloud, monitoring, observability and CI/CD

Description : 

- Lead a 200 member cross-functional team of developers and QA across portfolio in driving product development across key APAC markets.

- Drive product improvements (new features and reliability, resiliency, observability and monitoring).

- Act as goto person for all technical design and architecture considerations during product development

- Develop, evangelize, and promote best practices for engineering excellence and developing systems at scale

- Leverage critical thinking and adaptability to lead teams through complex issues

- Share the collective team vision and successfully promoting the why and how to all teams

- Drive the adoption of Site Reliability and Agile principles across the organization

Profile : 

- Engineering/Computer Science degree or equivalent experience

- Expertise in leveraging Open Source Software technologies to solve business problems

- Expertise in monitoring and scaling environments

- Expertise in public/private cloud IT infrastructure

- Understanding of web technologies, including web services, web application servers and RESTful APIs

- Expertise in building and consuming APIs

- Mobile application development (Android & iOS) and web application development

- Scripting & exposure in any of the programming languages

- Should have managed medium to large Dev and/or IT Ops teams

- Bitbucket/ Jira/Confluence and supporting/debugging java applications

- Apache Tomcat, Memcache, Java applications
