Economist - Strategy/Management Consulting Firm

One of our MNC client from Strategy /Management Consulting Firms has an urgent opening for the position of an ECONOMIST to be based at their Mumbai Office.

The following is the Job Description regarding the same.

On basic education/qualifications

1. Person has to be trained academically as Econometricians/Economist - MA/PhD in economics with econometrics/statistics as an optional paper. MSc/Phd in Statistics with economics as an optional paper (we can also look at the candidate if he is having working experience on Macroeconomics)

On Experiences (number of years)

1. Minimum 3-5years

2. Less is possible if candidate has worked on all (or at least 80% of model/technique mentioned below)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1) To model and forecast macroeconomic variables using various Statistical/Econometric techniques, create and manage database, present statistical inference from large dataset.

2) To develop & execute customized econometric/statistical model.

3) To write macroeconomic research report, economic articles and data comments on a periodic basis. Work on sectoral research and analytical articles.

4) Identify, collect and analyze economic data for India on a periodic basis. To help in building and maintaining databases.

5) To work on survey based economic indices. i.e. confidence index, optimism index, expectation index. Conduct theme based & specific research and write comprehensive report

6) Statistical software - Eviews, SPSS, STATA, R programming etc
