About the role: The Corporate Strategy Manager plays a pivotal role in driving strategic initiatives and supporting business case for investments. This role involves a blend of analytical rigor, strategic thinking, and effective communication skills. The incumbent will collaborate closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to identify, evaluate, and execute strategic opportunities aimed at enhancing the company's competitive positioning and long-term growth. Job Responsibilities: 1. Strategic Opportunity Analysis: Conduct comprehensive analyses of market trends, competitor landscape, and industry dynamics to identify strategic opportunities and threats. Synthesize findings into actionable insights to inform strategic decision-making. 2. Business Planning: Assist in the development of long-term strategic plans, annual operating plans, and performance metrics. Support the articulation of strategic priorities and ensure alignment across business units. 3. Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A): Support M&A activities by conducting financial analysis, due diligence, and valuation modelling. Assist in the evaluation of potential acquisition targets and strategic partnerships. 4. Investment Thesis Development: Work closely with teams to develop investment theses for potential transactions. Analyze industry trends, competitive positioning, and financial performance to assess investment opportunities. 5. Market Entry Strategy: Evaluate market entry opportunities in new geographies or business segments. Conduct feasibility studies, competitive analysis, and risk assessments to inform market entry decisions. 6. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal stakeholders across various functions, including business finance, investment bankers, sales, operations, etc. to drive alignment and consensus on strategic initiatives. Required Skills, Experience & Qualifications: 1. Bachelor's/ Master's degree in finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field. MBA or CFA designation preferred. 2. 3 to 6 years of experience in investment banking, management consulting, or corporate strategy roles. 3. Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modelling and valuation techniques. 4. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to distil complex concepts into clear and concise messages. 5. Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously. 6. Collaborative mindset with a proactive and results-oriented approach to problem-solving. 7. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other financial analysis tools.
