Role Overview:

- We are seeking an experienced and dynamic City Head - Last Mile Operations to lead and manage the last mile delivery operations for Ecom Express.

- The City Head will be responsible for overseeing the entire last mile network in the city, ensuring smooth, cost-efficient, and customer-focused operations.

- This role will require strong leadership, problem-solving, and analytical skills to drive performance, enhance delivery efficiency, and deliver on key business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee Last Mile Operations: Lead, manage, and optimize all last mile delivery activities in the city to ensure on-time, cost-effective deliveries with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.

- Team Leadership & Development: Build, manage, and develop a high-performing team of delivery associates, supervisors, and drivers. Foster a positive work culture and drive continuous performance improvement.

- Operational Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement operational strategies to meet the city's business objectives, ensuring smooth coordination between various teams and delivery hubs.

- Performance Management: Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as delivery speed, accuracy, and cost. Identify areas for improvement and take corrective actions to ensure targets are met.

- Customer Satisfaction & Problem Resolution: Ensure timely resolution of any customer complaints, delivery issues, or operational bottlenecks. Maintain high service standards to guarantee customer satisfaction.

- Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and optimize last mile delivery processes, including route planning, resource allocation, and technology adoption to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

- Collaboration with Other Departments: Work closely with cross-functional teams including central operations, customer service, and tech teams to streamline operations and support business growth.

- Compliance & Safety Standards: Ensure compliance with all safety, legal, and regulatory standards, and ensure all team members follow the company's safety protocols.

Qualifications & Skills:

Educational Background:

- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or a related field.

Experience:

- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in managing last mile delivery operations, logistics, or supply chain management, preferably in the e-commerce or logistics industry.

Leadership:

- Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of managing large teams, driving results, and fostering a performance-driven culture.

Analytical Mindset:

- Strong problem-solving and data analysis skills with the ability to drive operational improvements and optimize delivery processes.

Customer-Centric Approach:

- Ability to understand customer needs and ensure high standards of service are consistently met.

- Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in using logistics management systems, route optimization software, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with internal teams, clients, and customers.
