eBay - Product Manager

- eBay has always been a pioneer in ecommerce all over the world including in India. We are looking for someone who is excited by the challenge of building compelling consumer experiences to support eBay’s complex marketplace model.

- The Product Manager in eBay India is the lead and owner of the User experience for a specific set of domains on the eBay platform. The PM is responsible for championing the launch of new features on the shipping and trust domains

- The Product Manager would work closely with the Business managers in India and the global Product management & Product development teams towards delivering world class solutions

Job Responsibilities:

Definition of Product strategy and prioritization for the shipping and trust domain

- Work very closely with various business units and technology team, to ensure products designed and developed deliver the business and customer needs.

- Build deep understanding of customer needs from research, data and competitive analysis, purchase funnels, and insights from other business units.

- Execute against eBay India and eBay Global product roadmaps

- Author product requirements documents (PRDs)

- Contribute to company goals and strategy by translating business needs into product strategies and plans

- Conduct User research, and analyze the marketplace, customers and competitors to determine the right product for the India market

- Proactively manage relationships with local and global product and technology teams to stay connected to latest global product launches that impact eBay India.

- Site production issues management and escalation

Job Requirements:

- 4-5 years of work experience with prior Product Management experience in ideally in consumer internet industry or the shipping / logistics space

- Proven ability to lead and manage teams.

- Deep knowledge of emerging ecommerce industry in India

- Passion for ecommerce

- Well-developed problem solving skills allowing individuals to remove obstacles for teams and set expectations in ambiguous situations.

- Innovative solution seeking attitude

- An MBA from a top-tier B school

- Team player comfortable with interacting with different functional areas and managing within a matrix organization. Also comfortable with working with global teams.
