- Ensuring the bank's information security practices meet industry standards and regulations, as well as the bank's own internal policies.
- The specific responsibilities of this role may include: Developing and implementing information security policies and procedures specific to the banking industry Ensuring compliance with relevant banking regulations.
- Conducting risk assessments and security audits of the bank's systems and processes Managing security incidents and data breaches, and leading the response and recovery efforts.
- Providing leadership, guidance and support to the bank's information security team.
- Keeping abreast of current security threats and vulnerabilities specific to the banking industry Communicating security risks and solutions to bank management and stakeholders.
- Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including regulators and law enforcement Developing and managing the bank's information security budget.
- This role requires strong technical knowledge in information security and experience in risk management and compliance in the banking industry.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills are also critical.
