Primary Responsibilities:
- Managing and growing our tech team in building world class products that are highly intelligent, robust, scalable and secure.
- Solve hard technology problems - a large part of the product roadmap consists of products/features that would be unique.
- Work with CXOs and Business leaders to align on business priorities, and plan for long term and short-term tech roadmap.
- Participate in the relevant SDLC of all products by owning the design, engineering, coding standards and deployment automation by working with a team of engineering managers and architects.
- You will be expected to instil and follow good software development practices and ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.
- You should be familiar with agile practices as well as be able to adapt these to the needs of the business, with a constant focus on product quality.
- Collaborating closely with others in the organization to ensure that the products we build will delight our customers; this includes working closely with internal stakeholders like product managers, designers, business and external partners/vendors
Engineering Excellence:
- The Candidate Should Exhibit The Following Characteristics
- 10+ years of experience with full-stack development using new age technologies
- Deep understanding of architecture, software design patterns, infrastructure/dev opts, quality
- Well informed of available technology solutions/technology trends and choose viable technology options for the business
- Excellent troubleshooting and technical problem solving skills.
- Leadership
- Build, lead and motivate a team of high performing engineers.
- Align the team to incorporate new technologies and processes to maximize development efficiency at the same time willingness to get hands dirty when it is in the best interest of the team (e.g, occasional coding, and willingness to pick up new languages)
- Work with partners/vendors, take timeline/cost decisions for favourable business impact
- Analytical leader with an objective thinking process and growth mindset
- Ability to hire/attract talent and build strong teams
- Comfortable working with ambiguity
- Someone who can balance both attention to detail and big picture view
