Job Description:

As a DVP/AVP Data Science in Mumbai, you will be responsible for leading the data science efforts across multiple company verticals, focusing on advanced analytics, machine learning, and business analytics.

Below are the key responsibilities:

Team Leadership and Mentorship:

- Lead and mentor a team of Data Scientists, fostering their professional growth and development.

- Provide guidance and support to ensure the team delivers high-quality data-driven solutions.

Versatile Skill Set:

- Demonstrate flexibility to excel both as an individual contributor and in managing teams effectively.

- Adapt to changing project requirements and team dynamics to achieve project goals.

Strategic Collaboration:

- Work closely with business leaders to develop and implement a comprehensive data strategy aligned with business objectives.

- Ensure that data initiatives contribute effectively to business growth and operational efficiency.

Partnership Development:

- Establish and maintain partnerships with credit bureaus to access and leverage valuable data resources for analytical purposes.

- Utilize external data sources to enhance predictive models and business insights.

Project Execution:

- Lead the execution of data science projects using Python programming and other relevant tools and technologies.

- Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget while meeting quality standards.

API Development:

- Architect, build, test, and maintain data-driven APIs in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

- Ensure APIs are scalable, reliable, and secure to support business operations effectively.

Deployment of Systems:

- Drive the nationwide deployment of data-powered systems for underwriting and cross-selling, contributing to business expansion and customer acquisition.

Business Analysis and Consultancy:

- Conduct ad-hoc business analysis to provide insights and recommendations on performance, productivity, quality metrics, and Non-Performing Assets (NPAs).

- Act as a consultant to stakeholders, offering data-driven insights to optimize business processes and decision-making.

Additional Skills and Qualifications:

- Proven experience in leading and managing a team of Data Scientists.

- Strong proficiency in Python and other programming languages used in data science.

- Deep understanding of machine learning techniques, statistical analysis, and data visualization.

- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across different functions.

- Experience in financial services or related industries would be advantageous.
