Role: Planning & Engineering Specialist
P&E Specialist shall assist the core operations management team in project implementation, process monitoring & control and data gathering & analysis as part of overall project management and process enhancement initiatives undertaken by the organization.
Location: Mumbai
(Location and travelling depends on project requirement)
Experience:
The candidate should be able to demonstrate capability in one or more of the following:
- An engineering background is a must. Background in Mechanical/ Production Engineering will be preferred
- Background or Interest in Operations Research/ Supply Chain Management domain
- Knowledge of principles, methodology and practices of Research and Data Collection
- Background in use of Analytics in Business Decision Making, Process Improvement and Optimization
- Experience in excel based modelling and use of statistical tools
Skills Required:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good proficiency in Spreadsheet (Excel) & other Office applications, internet applications and analytical software/ tools like SPSS/ SAS etc. Should be comfortable with working on huge data
- Good Presentation with new technologies - Video making, PPT
- Ability to gather relevant information and apply knowledge to solve less well-defined practical problems
- Good decision-making ability
- Ability to work on several projects or issues simultaneously
- Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Ability to work in a team environment or independently as needed
Responsibilities:
- Software Enhancement/changes, documentation, UAT, deployment, implementation
- Functional inputs about enhancement to support L &D to train employees before rollout
- Redevelopment, you will deliver end-user training and ensures a smooth transition. You will also work on the report on the progress, efforts, and follow-up to support the application on an ongoing basis.
- Track and report data
- Build cross-functional partnerships, internally and externally
- Maintain a competitive market knowledge
- Drive critical projects by coordinating with cross-functional teams across locations and hierarchies.
- Coordinate with multiple departments and teams to gather and analyze critical data.
- Regularly create reports/ dashboards/ MIS to monitor processes, publish MIS to relevant stakeholders and perform Root Cause Analysis for observed process gaps
- Conduct periodic reviews with the operations team across locations to streamline the gaps.
- Continually analyze the scope of process improvement, analyze industry best practices and present analysis, suggestions and research findings to the senior management to support business decisions.
