- The role is responsible for ecommerce B2C business development and end to end support of retail business and integrated logistics. Primary responsibility of the role holder includes generation of new business by adding new customer / clients, retaining existing customers / clients. Additionally the role holder is also responsible to support cross functional areas related to business development.
Key Responsibilities :
- Responsible for business development by identifying new business opportunities.
- Coordinate with cross functional teams like - CRM, Billing and Accounts teams of DTDC to ensure seamless experience to the customers.
- Handle complete B2B retail business processes - including setting up of online store / website, working on technology part, coordinate in cataloging, marketing and getting traffic on the platform, assessing supply chain requirements, getting product live on market etc.
- Collaborate with cross functional internal stakeholders from Operations and CRM teams to assess areas of improvement leading to better business outcomes.
- Coordinate and interact with finance team to understand P&L of warehouses and other financial aspects for corrective action to be taken in case of any price escalation/volume discounts etc.
- Coordinate with with zonal/regional business development teams on a regular basis.
- Anticipate customer needs and take responsibility in acquiring supply, resources and other information necessary to meet those needs by optimizing processes and systems in a timely way
KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:-
- Understand end to end processes of B2B ecommerce and retail business
- Possess good understanding of B2C warehousing and last mile.
- Ability to understand customer requirements.
- Knowledge of market dynamics in logistics and courier industry
- Possess great leadership skills being able to handle a team of 10-12.
- Possess great team management skills to work in teams spread across regions and zones.
- Proficiency in communication and stakeholder management in order to manage external customers and internal support teams.
- Should possess understanding of basic financial jargons and terminologies like depreciation, methods of amortizing the asset, gross margin, etc.
- Should be a risk taker and possess a solution oriented mindset in approaching the real time problems.
- Expected to work in a dynamic work environment and take complete ownership and responsibility of action items.
