Assistant General Manager/Deputy General Manager - Milk Procurement

Job Responsibility:

1. Managing operations at chilling centers:

- Monitoring the operations at all CCs in the whole division, including collaborating with maintenance and quality departments as required.

- Ensuring milk procurement as per budgeted quantities across months, by effectively managing lean and flush periods.

- Building goodwill with farmers and Village Level Collection persons through farmer meetings, veterinary camps, etc.,

- Monitoring payments to farmers through proper documentation with KYC and resolving any issues by coordinating with procurement accounts team.

2. Expansion, optimization and monitoring processes:

- Monitoring route vehicle timings and ensure optimization of routes to control transport cost.

- Managing establishments of new MCC/BMCs/CMCs at potential operating areas. Visiting all CCs in the division at least once a month for monitoring the functioning of the CC.

- Ensuring chilling centres are compliant with safety and statutory norms.

- Establishing necessary controls and random audits to inspect and minimize any malpractices across chilling centres.

-Managing the cost-effective milk procurement activities which align to the organisation objective with budget cost.

3. General management:

- Managing the procurement team across division through continuous development and performance feedback.

- Preparing annual budget and analyzing monthly performance against budget.

- Analyzing and reporting performance across CCs on procurement, operational costs, etc.

- Periodically obtain procurement strategy and pricing mechanism of other procurement agencies in operation.

4 Position Requirements:

- Experience in the Dairy field minimum 10 years.

- Age between 35-45 years.

- Qualifications - Any Agriculture / Commerce / Science Degree or Post Graduate degree.

- Communication: Any one Regional Language ( Telugu/Kannada/Tamil), & English Mandatory & Hindi- Optional.

- Interest to travel /visit rural villages at frequent intervals.

- Salary - As per the Industry Standards.

- SAP / System knowledge will be an added advantage.

- Capacity to build a Team & Analytical skills for taking logical decisions.
