Divisional Head (Building Construction Material)
- You will be responsible for formulating and implementing the sales growth strategies for the organisation and accountable to meet and exceed the agreed sales and profit objectives.
- The position will develop short and long-range plans and programs including actively pursuing partnerships with well-aligned operators, deepening relationships with current customers, maximizing the distributor partnerships and guiding and managing a network of dealers.
- This job allows you the opportunity to direct the planning, organizing, directing and coordinating the activities of the sales function to effectively execute sales strategies that will maximize sales volume, drive targeted profitable growth and professionally develop the sales staff.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop the sales forecast and maintain accountability for sales goal achievement, including but not limited to respective key metrics and/or budget achievement.
- Direct a staff of sales and administrative personnel, including responsibility for hiring, training and performance coaching, and management; complete weekly "ride along" with sales personnel to provide training and coaching.
- Assist with new customer solicitation, bid preparation, and customer retention strategies.
- Meet regularly with sales personnel to review sales activity funnel (CRM tool), customer retention and relationship activities, review sales performance compared to goal, production and training needs.
- Contact assigned accounts to identify customer needs, changing requirements or potential issues and resolve accordingly.
- Collaborate with business unit leadership to develop and implement pricing strategy to meet Company objectives.
- Maintain an awareness of market behavior and competitive trends in designated market to anticipate changing customer needs; proactively manage customer base.
Qualification And Experience:
i. 15+ years of experience in sales & marketing in Building Construction Material Industry
ii. Experienced working with large broadline distributors as well as smaller specialty distributors
iii. Record of driving consistently strong profitable sales growth
iv. The candidate must also have a proven and successful ability to lead a group of sales personnel towards growth in enhanced sales volumes and enhanced revenue generation, while displaying exceptional leadership skills and confidence.
v. Should had experience evaluating product/market situations and analyzing raw data and information, transforming it into actionable sales strategies and approaches.
vi. Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
vii. Strong Microsoft Office skills and ideally knowledge of CRM systems, EPM data
