District Manager - Public Health Program

Location-Sikar,Udaipur,Jhalavar

District Manager would typically lead a flagship state public health program designed in partnership with the government and a corporate donor. The program would roll out with and within the government system unlike conventional public health programs that tend to set up structures outside the state system and hence do not scale-up.

The role would require district mangers to:

- Develop a theory of change based on an insightful understanding and analysis of core maternal and child health issues in the state

- Lead program implementation covering areas including

- Implementation of various program interventions at the district level;

- Data analysis;

- Engagement with the government health care system;

- Training of front line health workers;

- Setting up of technology solutions for effective data management and service delivery;

- Advocacy with local media and influential opinion makers;

- Managing relationship with the donors

- Lead a team of block level officers to implement key program activities that would deliver program outcomes

- Ensure that the program has an effective monitoring system and a robust evaluation model

- Manage relationship with at the district level government, development partners to ensure that the program stays visible and high priority

- Demonstrate client values and lead by example in interactions with front line health workers, government health departments, program team members, NGO partners, bureaucracy, political leadership and media

- The ability to conceptualize and design a program, analyse program data, lead and inspire a diverse group of team members, influence external partners and work with the government would be essential for interested graduates.
