Work Experience :
- 10-15 years in a Project Management with experience in large scale Application & infrastructure projects in a financial services
- Experience running Disaster Recovery drills
- Ability to understand Application deployment/architecture i.e. web server, Application server, Database and inter-linkages
Reasonable level of understanding in following technologies :
- Load Balancer, DNS etc. – preferred Citrix Netscalar
- Operating Systems & Databases – AIX/Windows/Oracle/SQL
- SAN
Understand & document DR application details :
- Architecture of application for which DR capability is built
- Interfaces, DB Links, API etc of DR application on dependent applications
- Interfaces, DB Links, API etc of dependent applications on DR application
- Information like IP, Port, Protocol used
- Firewall, Network, DNS rules
Any other specific information which will be required to conduct DR drills.
- Implement & manage change for DR application
- Observing behavior for Application at Production & DR, post migration to Load Balancer (Load balancer is used to enable STP capability across applications during Drill) and coordinate stabilizing/rectifying issues discovered
- Run DR Drills
- Defining , maintaining, publishing the schedule for DR
- Tracking the DR Drills against the baseline defined
- Preparing Final Plan of Action for conducting DR Drill and capture all necessary details
- Ensure all project roles are assigned to appropriate IT resources for successful application drills
- Documenting the DR Drill structure and the interaction between different working groups including internal work groups and vendors
- Ensuring due diligence is conducted on all DR Drills
- Presenting annual Disaster Recovery drill results and implementing corrective actions as needed
- Maintaining recovery planning documentation as it relates to infrastructure systems design, configuration, support, and processes
- Maintaining the Enterprise Disaster Recovery Policy and Run Books (Updating when changes occur)
- Handle Audits for DR
