Job Title : USA Accounting Director
Location : Ahmedabad, Gujarat
Work Hours: 6:00 PM TO 3:00 AM (Monday to Friday)
Job Description :
- The US Accounting Director oversees all facets of accounting including US Tax, US Payroll, and US Audit, requiring comprehensive knowledge across Accounting and Finance domains.
- With over 10 years of specialized experience in US Accounting, this role ensures strategic oversight and compliance in financial operations, supporting organizational goals with expertise and leadership in complex financial environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, including Accounts Payable/Receivable, General Ledger, Treasury, Tax, and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A).
- Ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met with accuracy, preparing and presenting monthly financial statements to senior management.
- Conduct thorough analysis of financial data, providing insights and projections to support strategic decision-making.
- Review and approve journal entries, ledgers, and reconciliations to maintain accuracy and compliance.
- Finalize monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Develop and maintain the annual budget, providing regular budget vs actual reports and variance analysis.
- Manage client accounts, relationships, and expectations, providing financial guidance and support.
- Lead and develop a high-performing accounting team, including recruitment, training, and performance management.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across accounting processes to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors during audits and tax preparations, ensuring compliance and timely resolution of audit findings.
- Maintain a strong understanding of US GAAP and tax compliance regulations, implementing necessary changes as required.
Qualifications:
- Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with extensive experience in accounting and financial management.
- Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in accounting, with at least 5 years in a managerial or directorial role.
- Strong proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks and ERP systems like Oracle.
- Advanced skills in Excel and Google Sheets for financial analysis and reporting.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, stakeholders, and senior management.
- Proven leadership abilities with experience in managing and developing a diverse team.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and handle confidential information with discretion.
- Experience in a global organization or shared service center environment preferred.
- Knowledge of engineering companies or the energy sector is advantageous
