- The role involves the person heading one of the education verticals end-to-end and taking overall responsibility for revenue and profitability of the same. The person would be responsible for growing the business in line with the company's overall strategy of driving more customers, richer transactions and more user cases backed with a superlative customer service experience.

- The customer acquisition, retention, academic delivery and business operations functions would be reporting to this role. Since it is a new vertical we expect the person to build their own teams, create functions and move the organisation through this vertical on an upward trajectory.

Duties:

1. Understand the underlying levers of our business and their interdependencies to bring predictability and consistency in the business.

2. Understand the business plan, the teams, the market and align KPIs to drive the end goals.

3. Understand available people and processes and align them with the business goals.

4. Identify areas of improvement in teams and processes and take necessary initiatives to bridge these gaps for delivery to long-term strategy.

5. Constantly look at opportunities to remove human errors and reduce cost in the processes through automation.

5. Constantly monitor and correct the strategy and plans to ensure that the business is aligned with the company vision and strategy.

6. Continuously looking to establish a strong brand for the organization in every interaction with each and every customer.

7. Develop a risk framework for the business and monitor the key risk indices actively to mitigate the same.

8. Constantly influence the market through participation in industry forums and market events to ensure positive brand recall.

9. Constantly provide feedback to Technology, Product Management and Marketing departments to drive future roadmap.

10. Provide regular reporting to the leadership team on progress against the business plan, risks and support required. In Fact this position will be a part of the leadership team.

11. Keep the business relevant and ahead of the market by constantly interpreting customer, market and technology trends and providing feedback to the leadership team.

Skills and Qualifications:

1. B.E./B.Tech/M.E./M.Tech/MBA from reputed tier 1 colleges only.

2. Proven track record of atleast 5-7 years of business development and operation experience in FMCG, Retail, Banking, Software, Durable industry. Even ex-entrepreneurs, BIG-4 consultants who want to switch to an entrepreneurial venture like ours with a skin in the game are welcome to apply.

3. Should have demonstrated ability to carry out business transformation with strong startegic teammanagement through process, product or people management changes.

4. Should have demonstrated ability to carry out business transformation through introduction of tools within company processes to drive efficiency, measurability and predictability.

5. Proven record of increasing revenue by introducing innovative sales and distribution methods.

6. Strong process orientation both in sales and service. Formal training in sales methodologies would be a plus.

7. A record of creation and growth of relationships with top management in large organizations would be critical.

8. Demonstrated ability to manage tough competitive markets, crisis situations, turn-around situations would be an additional plus.

9. Demonstrated ability to spot unusual trends in data and relate them to people, process or market risks.

Personality:

1. Ideal candidate would have a strong internal drive to solve large sales, distribution and operations problems through unconventional ways.

2. Ease in dealing with high levels of uncertainty is essential.

3. Should be able to connect and inspire trust with senior level stakeholders in customer organizations.

4. Should be a good listener, ready to openly accept better ideas. A quick decision maker with confidence to take responsibility failures.

5. Should have comfort in facing failures with an ability to introspect and hit the road running again quickly.

6. Should love learning new things and new ways of doing the same things.
