About our Client: Our client is one of the leading bulge bracket investment banks with an established business in India. The role is housed within the specialized market risk function.

Job Description: As a Director - Strategic Risk Management you will be responsible for:

- Leading the Strategic Risk Management team and managing a large team

- Leading the assessment of the overall risk profile at a group level as well as for individual businesses

- Ensuring exposure to risk does not exceed the appropriate risk appetite in line with laid out frameworks

- Engagement with the Global senior stakeholders in order to gain feedback on performance of the staff

- Seeking continual improvement of the quality of work performed by the team

- Ensuring a high quality of workflow efficiency in the areas of Risk Management across all asset classes, scenarios, reporting, market risk methodologies, pricing model validation and limit operations

- Developing and providing performance benchmarks and Management information

The Successful Candidate:

- You will have a strong quantitative academic background with a Masters/ Post Graduate from a premier school and an excellent understanding of Market Risk management in the Investment Banking space covering global markets.

- With atleast 15 years of relevant experience in the Market Risk space, you should be conversant with valuation methodology, monitoring and management of traded risk and lead formulation of appropriate guidelines and policies to manage inherent risks.

- Excellent people management experience in handling 80+ people and leadership qualities along with the ability to manage the expectations of senior demanding stakeholders is an integral part of the role.
