The Director, Projects (Solar) is a crucial role, responsible for increasing sales and revenue growth. Primary activity includes building, planning, and strategizing while combating challenges of the Renewable Energy industry. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader, visionary, bringing new selling ideas, have a strong background in Renewable Energy and has existing relationships in the distribution, EPC and solar investor communities.

The Director, Projects - Solar directs and oversees active project(s), focusing on quality, contract negotiations, budget, schedule, sub-contractors & suppliers.

What you'll be doing

- Identifies, deploys, and manages a high-performing team needed to accomplish business objectives.

- Ensures the project delivery to a high-quality standard and resourced correctly to complete on time and within budget.

- Ensures projects meet requirements for budgeting.

- Reviews budget and cost to complete projections.

- Generates internal reports for the project, personnel, budget, and schedule updates.

- Guides and directs the team to deliver quality projects on time and within budget successfully.

- Create and implement sales and revenue growth strategies and programs.

- Provide new and creative ideas to grow Solar products.

- Develop product and pricing plans to increase sales volume.

- Meet or exceed all sales revenue, pricing and inventory management objectives.

- Determine long term plan to add new channels which maximize market presence

- Identify potential new partners, initiate and develop business relationships and negotiate multi- year contracts. Identify and consider potentially new or alternate channels and routes to market.

- Develop strategic knowledge of competitive products, pricing and tactics.

- Contribute to the design, development and implementation of the company's quarterly and annual sales plan.

- Maintain required reporting and develop new metrics to better understand and maximize the channel.

- Represent the company in local and national exhibitions and conferences.

- Stay up to date with market information, including competitors and customers benchmarking and technical and financial market requirements.

Key Skills & Qualifications

- Degree in Business Administration, Organizational Leadership or related field preferred.

- Minimum15+ years of experience and success selling in the renewable energy industry.

- Must have experience in solar market, and who the financial investors are.

- Understanding of current political events affecting solar and manufacturing.

- Proven record of delivering results with solid teamwork and leadership skills.

- Demonstrate the ability to leverage personal and internal resources to manage the growth of sales and customer relationships.

- Previous experience communicating and collaborating with C-level executives

- Strong planning, negotiation, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

- Self-motivated, quick thinker, proactive, and passionate for customer satisfaction.

- Ability to work cross-functionally in a highly collaborative environment.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Passion for the Renewable Energy industry.
