Director/Senior Director - Finance Transformation - Retail GBS

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

The position holder will orchestrate all global transformation projects in GBS Functional Service Finance including the measurement, improvement and digitalization of global processes. They will be instrumental in defining the future target operating model and closely steer the operations efforts in potential transitions and implementation of operational processes into the GBS hubs.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead GBS Finance Transformation programs, providing input and insight into the transformation and the overall program management of workstreams, initiatives and measurement

- Identifies and manages interdependencies between finance transformational programs and initiatives, highlighting risk and proactively offers solutions and mitigation strategies

- Lead and enable the operations and where applicable transition team to develop, implement and deliver key operational processes and activities

- Leverage and help to deploy the latest finance innovations, technologies and best practices and support change management where needed

- Provide leadership in developing agile methods for supporting innovation, new ways of working and aligning across teams

- Champion and drive finance digital enablement across the program in collaboration with technology SMEs and strategic vendors

- Drive both finance operational effectiveness and lean efficiencies with the use of technology

- Define and build efficient cross-functional team collaboration environments with sub functions of I2C, R2R, FP&A and outside finance cross-functional activities such as Finance, Procurement and TECH

- Implement robust measurement and reporting to track performance of the function including client, people, financial and social value

- Lead the transformation of finance functional team target operating model

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

- In depth understanding of a Global Business Services finance end-to-end process

- Extensive experience in finance process design and process mapping, ideally within Shared Services

- Familiarity with project management and lean six sigma approaches, tools and phases of project lifecycle

- Experience of RPA and digital transformation

- Experience in meeting planning and facilitation of workshops in a global working environment

- Experience of coordinating solution governance (incl. build of enterprise model, functional advice for process content), data for the end-to-end solution and prioritizing demand

- Vision and capability to define guidelines for solution build and delivery

- Experience in designing for and improving process quality, process review and compliance

- Pro- active (engaging & impact-oriented) mindset, ability to think end-to-end with a global mindset

- Ability to be self-directed while working under tight deadlines

- Ability to work in a fast paced environment with different international cultures

- Strong numerical and analytical skills

- Strong communication (both written and verbal) and facilitation skills (small and large groups) especially when interacting with different levels of business

- Ability to travel, domestic or international, as required

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

- college or university degree with focus on Finance, Business Administration, or related areas, or equivalent combination of education and experience

- Minimum of 10+ years of progressive work experience in finance transformation management, process management or process improvement, as well as (ideally) some experience of operational delivery of these services
