Director - Security Governance - Technology Firm

Job Description - The Director - Security Governance is responsible for the establishment, operationalization and continuous improvement of global Security Governance strategy, capabilities, and services operating out of India. The Director leads and manages the Information Security Business Management, IT Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC), and IT Disaster Recovery (DR) functions

Description:

- Lead the Security Governance strategy, capability maturity, service delivery and maturity, while ensuring Information Security strategy and program management

- Continuous improvement of Information Security policy and integrated IT control frameworks

- Continuous identification and management of risks, development of the IT DR framework and plans.

- Advocate Information Services (IS) and Enterprise Information Security (EIS) goals and commitments. Provide thought leadership on new and industry-leading enterprise-class Security solutions, capabilities, and services.

- Understand and deploy EIS vision within Security Governance functions. Develop/enhance and implement policies and standards across all disciplines within functions.

- Provide oversight and direction for the Security Governance engagement model, capabilities, and services. Govern adherence to policies and standards. Own, enhance and drive the global operating model.

- Communicate and summarize status of operations and projects, and progress toward major initiatives to leadership as well as to direct and indirect reports.

- Partner with the entire IS leadership team in various areas such as strategy, architecture, programs, policies, critical infrastructure and applications, and Healthcare.

- Serve as a member of the EIS extended leadership team providing expertise and input for decisions relating to security strategy, security threat, risk management, compliance, and business continuity/disaster recovery.

- Build and manage a professional, creative, and collaborative team.

Profile :

An ideal candidate should have :

- 15+ years of Information Systems experience. 3+ years of Information Security leadership experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience

- Thorough understanding of Strategy and Program Management, IT Governance, Risk Management, Compliance and Disaster Recovery concepts

- Experience in leading and managing Security Governance function, capabilities, services, and teams.

- Experience leading and managing large scale Information Security programs and IT Disaster Recovery.

- CISSP, CISM, GIAC certification and/or expertise

- Demonstrated ability to create and successfully execute strategic plans for highly complex technical issues

- Experience in process improvement methodology, change management, operational improvement in complex systems
