Director - Securities Operations - Banking Captive

Looking for a Director with expertise in Securities operations and vendor Management with strong People Management experience for a Bank @ Hyderabad

- Work with vendor to drive our strategic initiatives to deliver our Operating Plans.

- Make sure that all newly offshored roles are integrated offshore without impacting day-to-day support

- Act as a senior point of escalation / on the ground support for any critical RTB issues

- Manage/mentor/support India Securities Operations staff- take ownership of their performance and motivate them to deliver the Offshore Target Operating model (TOM).

- Make sure the risk culture within the vendor is well managed and driven across the entire vendor organization. Engage teams/individuals when incidents occur to ensure lessons are learnt

- Work with the vendor to enhance delivery, notably in meeting Process excellence/Robotics and other targets

- Drive improved communication between onshore/offshore teams

- Develop SME knowledge in vendor teams to increase their understanding of the product area

- Oversee roll out of strategic initiatives at vendor sites in a structured and controlled manner to deliver benefits without introducing risk or impacting clients

Perform and monitor the following day-to-day tasks:

- Perform verification of high value payments and FX requests

- Make sure key controls are adhered to for the team

- Approve key tasks initiated within the processing team eg. conversions, corporate action event approval

- Supervise the day-to-day operations of the offshore processing team

- Get involved in monthly GBSOV process for accounts managed within the processing team

- Represent the location in regional/global risk /governance calls and interact with senior location and regional leadership team to update them on the process health and team performance
