Client; an American FMCG (Food & Beverages) MNC
Role; Director Sales/ National Head India
Location; Delhi NCR or Chennai or Mumbai (depends on candidate preference)
Reports to: MD India/ Country Director
Key Responsibilities for Director Sales profile.
1. Accomplishes sales objectives by planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating advertising, merchandising, and trade promotion programs; developing field sales action plans.
2. Overall in charge of Sales Team and Responsible person to generate sales with Top line and Bottom line.
3. Determines annual and gross-profit plans by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions; projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products; analyzing trends and results; establishing pricing strategies; recommending selling prices; monitoring costs, competition, supply, and demand.
4. Distribution Expansion in Urban and rural Markets.
5. Update Management on current trend and competitors activities in Market
6. NSM/ Director Sales ensure that planned sales & distribution budgets are achieved through a team of ZSM/RSM
7. Need to prepare monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts.
8. Completes national sales operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
9. Ensure effective hiring, orientation, training, development and retention of sales staff.
10. Monitor, review and report on key metrics to ensure sales targets are achieved and execute sales activity documentation in a timely.
11. Maintains national sales staff job results by counselling and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
12. To ensure individual sales people are being held accountable to their business plans and activity requirements.
13. Responsible for ensuring that region’s sales related expenses are kept within the budgeted costs and is
empowered to take corrective actions wherever a correction the same is required.
14. Responsible to ensure all the money is collected in the time frame set by the company.
Education; MBA from Premier B School
Exp; 12-20 years of exp in good FMCG company. Should have handled a leadership role or P/L role in a FMCG company
