Job description:
- Business P& L
- Business strategy
- Develop the business model: Go deep, understand where opportunities are and create a viable business model to service the opportunities
- Know the customer: Understand connected customer behavior, develop new customer insights
- Know the market: Stay on top of trends in an ever-changing landscape, find opportunities and prioritize based on size, internal capabilities, etc.
- Vendor network management & operations
- Ownership of all category specific marketing activities
- Deliverable include category-wise traffic, conversions, customer base & revenues
- Team will have to work with online & offline marketing, category & website teams to conceptualize and implement marketing initiatives
- Building category level shopper understanding and gaining deeper insights
- Driving category-marketing programs as per agreed calendar& resources
- Vendor network management& operations
- Merchandising and Sales strategy
- Own pricing strategy based on market potential, consumer insights, margins, competitive signals, etc. Drive necessary promotions
- Identify the growth areas and new business scope within the existing category
People leadership
- Build, retain and groom a strong team to deliver across functions
- Set goals, define KPIs and ensure team tracks effectively towards goals
Desired background
- Educational background – should be from premier institutes
- Relevant years of work experience, 3-4 years in P&L roles or 3-5 years in a premier FMCG company
- Knowledge of Retail, consumer goods industry
